Description
The purpose of this activity is to help students start to figure out which questions can guide deeper thinking and research about the history of South Africa. This should happen at approximately the same time as the Questioning Activity #1 in English Language Arts.
In World History:
1. Teach 4 Types of Questions (Right There; Putting it Together; Text and Me; On My Own)
2. The teacher types up student questions from the various images in the Gallery Walk.
3. Students categorize questions from the Gallery Walk into the 4 Types of Questions
4. Students discuss and write a rationale for the categorization of questions
5. Students present their questions and rationale to the class.
