Description
The purpose of this activity is to benchmark students' initial knowledge of South Africa and to give them a glimpse of South African history through images to spark student-generated questions that will guide the unit of study.
* Gallery Walk Images of South Africa
* Students write questions on butcher paper based on images
* Students brainstorm what they know and want to know about South Africa
* Share out student responses
This should happen at approximately the same time as the English Language Arts Introduction Activity.
