Description

Students reflected on paper before we had a fishbowl discussion to give us all closure with the project.

Questions included:
1. What was most important to you about the work you did (personally and academically)? Why?
2. In what ways were you challenged to think for the Exhibition?
3. What did you learn about yourself as a learner? As a doer/creator? Why are these things important?
4. What was the purpose of the Exhibition? Do you feel like the purpose was achieved?
5. How did you communicate what you learned? Did it work for you? Do you feel that others learned or left feeling informed? How? Why?
6. Did you feel respected by your teachers during the process? Give an example.
7. What leadership skills did you learn or use that you will apply to the work on the next project you will complete?
8. At Envision Schools we talk a lot about rigor. What part of this experience was most rigorous? Please explain your answer.
9. What was the most satisfying element of this Exhibition?

Author Reflections

Some of these questions were taken from a reading that we did during professional development on rigor. The students were pretty thorough in answering the questions. We like holding a fishbowl or whole class discussion after the students write individually so the class has closure.
