Description

Students use imovie to create the PSA that they have carefully planned at the script/storyboard stage. Students will need to experiment with their comfort levels in terms of how well they can use imovie. I used the students as resources and tried to put at least one technilogically savvy student per group. In classes where this was not possible, there were at least some students who could migrate to other groups temporarily to help them get started. While some students in the group are working on the imovie, I had the remaining students working on their scripts for the final presentation (benchmark 9).

Author Reflections

This process went by MUCH faster with the groups that had stronger storyboards. I was impressed with their overall technology skills and how easily kids with no experience caught on. I knew NOTHING about imovie before I created this project, and now I feel fairly confident with it, just from observing students.
