REFLECTIONS & COMMENTS
Author Reflections
I highly recommend arranging for having all project teachers present for run-throughs. Coverage for classes, and/or a sub may be required but this is very beneficial and allows students to get feedback from project teachers at once and not get conflicting feedback.
Many groups were off the mark on their first run-throughs but later pulled through.
The presentations work best when they students act out the episode in the present tense, with fun dialogue. Many groups initially presented a past-tense retelling of thier project which was almost like an oral lab report - very boring. No matter how many times we told students to have fun and make it entertaining, like the show, they often did not do this the first time around.
