Description

These are research stations posted/taped around the room that students can spend a given amount of time at (5-10 minutes), discussing the evidence in groups and filling out a worksheet to compile their findings.

Author Reflections

These are good activities for an active research / investigation / discussion environment that keeps them moving & task-oriented, since they have limited time and are using all parts of the room. When we allow too much time at each station it falls apart quickly. Monitor to make sure discussions are happening and participation is 100%. Copying can become tempting, and it helps if they get used to you circulating & asking individuals questions about their current station.
