Description
Students were introduced to the project by showing them professional examples of production notebooks. We had two models and passed them around while we talked up the project. The PowerPoint showed our expectations and also allowed students to organize the notebooks.

Author Reflections
This took a long time, but was necessary so that students could "see" the end product and the steps it would take to get there. Since students were already organized into groups, the group's most organized student (the know who they are) ends up putting together the notebook.
