Duration: 45 minutes
Assessments: Student writing
Description
This project was loosely coupled with work happening in History classes around global issues and global leaders.
Students were asked to identify the evil that each myth addressed as they worked through the reading comprehension section of the project. Several students were able to use the work that they were doing in History class for this question, while many of them relied upon other units of study from the year or outside knowledge.
Students were asked to write up their connection in preparation for presentations.

REFLECTIONS & COMMENTS
Author Reflections
The connections were the weakest part of almost every group presentation. We did not spend enough time really fleshing this out with students, and many students tried to find a modern conflict that mirrored the myth (which is really difficult due to the outlandish plots of most of the myths) instead of simply connecting the evil presented in the story.
