Materials: laptops, microphones, Audacity recording program
Description
Before recording, students had to practice in front of peers and receive feedback on their rehearsals. In pairs, students worked together to record and edit their commentaries using a program called Audacity. After recording, students burned their commentaries onto CDs to be presented at the exhibition.

Author Reflections
We ran into a "microphone shortage" and so many commentaries were recorded using the ibook built-in microphones instead of external ones. The lack of external microphones led to low volume recordings and evident background noise (shuffling paper, breathing, hallway noise, etc.). Students who did use microphones had much clearer and louder recordings.
