Description
On Exhibition Night each student introduced their book, spoke about the process and read an excerpt of their memoir. Students gave their presentations in their Advisory classrooms and parents, guardians, friends and community members were invited. Several days prior to the exhibition the students practiced in their classes and in Advisory to make sure they were well prepared to show off their work!

Author Reflections
Students resist practicing, especially if they are not finished with their digital book. It is important to require students to practice so they are ready for the big night. Even if they resist make sure that they run through their presentations at least three or four times. I also recommend a couple of "dress rehearsals" in Advisory where students are going through the exact steps they will the night of the exhibition. Students might complain at first, but they will thank you after they give their presentations with confidence.
