Description

After the videos were completed, I had each class watch all of the videos from that class and assess each other according to the rubric (see below.) I took this input into consideration when I was doing the final grades for their projects.

Students received 4 grades for this project: Applicaton of knowledge (based on the rubric of their final video product,) Leadership skills (based on their collaboration self-evaluation,) Work habits (based on what their group mates said about them in their artist statements as well as my own observations) and Metacognition (based on their artist statement.)

The videos were shown at the Exhibition in conjunction with the Humanities project that was connected with the study of colonialism. One computer was set up for each student block and the videos played on a loop throughout the exhibition.

Author Reflections

The students were very excited to watch their videos. They were mostly very honest in assessing themselves and each other and were very reflective about how they could make higher quality videos in the future.
