REFLECTIONS & COMMENTS
Author Reflections
As this was the first essay of the year, we wanted to make sure that the students had a good structure to go from. This was a good step in getting students to write good paragraphs, but it was good to differentiate amongst students who need the handout and those who didn't. Students who felt constricted by the handout weren't forced to use it, but many of the students felt comfort in the structure as it was the first essay of the year.
