You Selected: Mythbusters: A Scientific Inquiry Project
Math PS.4.0: Students are familiar with the standard distributions (normal, binomial, and exponential) and can use them to solve for events in problems in which the distribution belongs to those families.
Math PS.5.0: Students determine the mean and the standard deviation of a normally distributed random variable.
Math PS.6.0: Students know the definitions of the mean, median, and mode of a distribution of data and can compute each in particular situations.
Math PS.7.0: Students compute the variance and the standard deviation of a distribution of data.
Math PS.8.0: Students organize and describe distributions of data by using a number of different methods, including frequency tables, histograms, standard line and bar graphs, stem-and-leaf displays, scatterplots, and box-and-whisker plots.
Science I.1.a: Select and use appropriate tools and technology (such as computer-linked probes, spreadsheets, and graphing calculators) to perform tests, collect data, analyze relationships, and display data.
Science I.1.b: Identify and communicate sources of unavoidable experimental error.
Science I.1.c: Identify possible reasons for inconsistent results, such as sources of error or uncontrolled conditions.
Science I.1.d: Formulate explanations by using logic and evidence.
Science I.1.j: Recognize the issues of statistical variability and the need for controlled tests.
Science I.1.l: Analyze situations and solve problems that require combining and applying concepts from more than one area of science.
Theater 2.1: Make acting choices, using script analysis, character research, reflection, and revision through the rehearsal process.
Theater 2.2: Write dialogues and scenes, applying basic dramatic structure: exposition, complication, conflict, crises, climax, and resolution.
Theater 5.2: Manage time, prioritize responsibilities, and meet completion deadlines for a production as specified by group leaders, team members, or directors.
Visual Arts 2.1: Solve a visual arts problem that involves the effective use of the elements of art and the principles of design.
Visual Arts 2.3: Develop and refine skill in the manipulation of digital imagery (either still or video).
